Farmako is a 30-minute medicine delivery startup that focuses on providing quick and reliable access to prescription and over-the-counter medications. The service operates through a user-friendly app or website where customers can upload prescriptions or browse medicines. Farmako’s core value proposition is its rapid delivery time, ensuring that medicines reach customers within 30 minutes, making it highly convenient for those who need timely access to healthcare products. In my role, I initiated and led a comprehensive redesign of the entire product’s navigation and visuals while taking care of crucial areas that were causing friction for the users and one of those areas is the checkout page.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Medicines often come with dosage instructions and safety warnings. While most users obtain prescriptions with clear dosage guidance from their doctors, some users purchase non-prescription (non-OTC) medications without professional advice. These medications can still have critical safety instructions that users may overlook. Ignoring these safety instructions can pose significant health risks.

Design Objective
The goal was to design a widget that helps users easily learn more about the medicines they are consuming, promoting safer and healthier consumption habits.
Widget hierarchy and placement
Learning about medicines is crucial for user safety, making it imperative to position this information where users will always see it: the home screen.
Exploration 1
A single card displaying key information, including safety advice, use cases, and dosage, was explored. Since all this information holds equal importance, it was presented in an accordion format for users to quickly glance through and expand details as needed. Users could access the full medicine information page by clicking "Read More" and explore other medicines via horizontal scrolling.

In this iteration, past orders were grouped with medicine cards. This approach not only improved information clarity but also supported business goals by encouraging reorders. Users could review medicine details from previous orders and reorder directly from the card.
Drawbacks
After some user testing i understood that the users still found it challenging to correlate medicines with their respective orders.
Missing crucial information such as delivery location and time, which could help users identify orders faster.

Exploration 3 - final solution
This iteration resolved both order identification and navigation issues by grouping medicines and order details within a single card.
This design made it easier for users to:
1. Identify which order a medicine belongs to.
2. Navigate between medicines using arrows and pagination.
3. Access all past orders via horizontal scrolling.
